Limbo originated on the island of Trinidad and it apparently was a dance that took place at wakes following a funeral.

It’s a wonderful way to find muscles that you never knew you had and to check out just how supple you are…or not.

The horizontal bar, or limbo bar, is placed on two vertical pegs and each contestant has to try and go under the bar with their backs facing the floor.

If you knock the bar off the pegs – you’re out and the winner is the one who is the last remaining person standing or by then, probably lying flat on the floor.

Limbo can be attempted indoors or out.
